Weetslade is one of Luna's favourite places to walk. It's only a few minutes from where we live so we often visit it, especially on the Summer nights. We've recently introduced George to it as well as a few other of our friends and they all seemed to enjoy it!
There is one main path you follow which loops you all the way round and essentially becomes one big circle. You can take other routes but they will all more or less end you up in the same spot. With the majority of the walk being tarmac path, it's great if you want to avoid getting muddy as you can stick to it more or less the entire way round. It does go into a country grit path the further you walk but the majority is all path.
There is a drawback with it being path rather than a dirt track, and that is you tend to get a lot of cyclists. Some understand it's a public Country Park whereas others think they own it. The majority will understand and give you plenty of time to call your dog over to avoid any accidents so it's never really been a problem.
There is also a seating area near the car park where you can sit and enjoy a coffee/tea from the mobile cafe which is there. It's not there everyday but it's there the majority of weekends. There is also a seating area just at the bottom of the hill with two picnic tables.
Parking Information
There is a car park at Weetslade but it only has about 15/20 spaces. That being said, it never seems to get that busy and we've never had any issues getting parked.
If you can't get parked in the actual car park, you're able to park along the verges but we've never had to do this. Address for the car park is below;
